Tribal Arms
Extend arms straight out so straight across, then bend elbows so hands face front. Pull elbows towards back of room.
You want the arms to have a nice straight line across fingertip to fingertip.

Basic Ghawazhee:
    Weighted step on right and left as hips “close the car door”
Head slide cue: Arms come down and up sides 1, 2, 3, 4 on 5-8 as you lift arms overhead to come palms back to back
slide head RLRL

Basic Ghawazhee with level change:
Cue to begin:
Right arm comes up with palm facing in, left hand comes face down to front (L-Arms)
Feet:
1.)        Step onto ball of right foot onto “1”
2.)        Step onto ball of left foot onto “2”
3.)        Step onto flat foot of right foot on “3/4”
4.)        Step onto ball of left foot onto “5”
5.)        Step onto ball of right foot onto “6”
6.)        Step onto flat foot of left foot on “7/8”

Arms:
1.)        Right arm goes up palm facing in while you do 1-4
2.)        Left arm goes up palm facing in while you do 5-8

Cue to turn:
Leader sweeps right arm and up overhead with hand flourish/palm ends facing out. Do sequence as normal, when
finish “8” pick up right foot as you normally would but turn to face back of room and plant foot on new “1”. Same foot
work/arms as before you have only changed direction.

Tribal Egyptian:
    Cue to begin:
            Arms come up overhead and palms face in
    Feet:
1.)        Right foot comes forward onto “toe” twist right hip to front, place foot back to neutral
2.)        Left foot comes forward onto “toe” twist left hip to front, place foot back to neutral.

Arms:
1.)        Pull right elbow down and back behind you as left elbow comes forward and down. Bring arms back to neutral
2.)        Pull left elbow down and back behind you as right elbow comes forward and down. Bring arms back to neutral
Cue to Turn:
Leader brings right elbow forward on “1” instead of back. Do 1 and 2 normally, at end of 2 instead of bringing foot back
to neutral, place it behind right foot and pivot to your left to face “back”. Repeat “1 & 2” again stepping behind right
foot and pivoting to end facing front again.

Basket Combination:
    Cue to begin:
    Leader brings arms out to sides (T) with palms up and elbows bent down
            Feet:
1.)        Ghawazhee footwork RL to 1, 2, 3, 4
2.) Then half turn to 1, 3, 1, 3 and end facing front

Arms:
Tip down and up, “scoop” to 1, 2, 3, 4
Tip down and up, “scoop” to 1, 3, 1 and end facing front

Tribal Turn:
    Cue to begin:
Leader brings left arm up, palm facing in, as turn to face front left corner, right arm bends with zill hands in front of
chest
    Feet:
1.)        Step right flat foot onto “1”, right hip bumps twice
2.)        Step left flat foot onto “4”, left hip bumps twice
3.)        Step right flat foot onto “2”, right hip bumps twice
4.)        Step left flat foot onto “3”, left hip bumps twice

Arms:
1.)        Keep cue arms
2.)        Wax on/wax off, bent right elbow sweeps out to right and up (extended) with palm facing in as left comes down
clockwise into bent position.
3.)        Left arm sweeps out to left and up (extended) with palm facing in as right arm comes down counterclockwise
into bent position
4.)        Repeat #2

Repeat Sequence; Remember that bent elbow always matches the foot stepping, so if stepping on #1, you are
stepping with your right foot so the right elbow is bent with the left arm extended overhead.

Offering:
    Cue to begin:
    Leader brings hands to sides palms up
            Feet:
1.)        Step onto “toe” of right foot and twist right hip forward twice, press hips forward and counterclockwise hip circle
to turn to left. Repeat on 2, 3, 4
Arms:
Open arms in welcome as twisting hips, when doing hip circle and turning bring fingertips towards each other in front of
belly.
Shoulder Shimmy Combo:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader brings arms out to sides, zill hands/palms out with elbows bent to floor
                    Arms:
1.)        Shoulders lift and drop on “1”
2.)        Shoulders lift and drop on “2”
3.)        Shoulders lift and drop on “3”
4.)        Shoulders lift and drop on “2”

Feet with shoulder shimmy, count shoulders as 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, start with right shoulder forward and alternate
pressing shoulders forward and back:
5) Step forward onto right flat foot with shoulder shimmy
6) Step forward onto left flat foot with shoulder shimmy
7) Step forward onto right flat foot with shoulder shimmy
8) Step forward onto left flat foot with shoulder shimmy

Side Arabic Combo:
    Cue to begin:
Leader turns to “3” with arms overhead, presses palms down sides of body to end at sides
                    Feet:
                    Step forward onto flat right foot

                    Movement:
                    1-2.) Roll shoulders forward as you 3.) lift chest & 4. arch back l
                    “Roll down wall” for 5, 6, 7, 8, weight shifts onto flat left foot
                    
                    2 Arabic 2’s to face “1” Repeat Cue (arms)
Right foot is in front of left: Step flat onto right, step onto ball of left foot, step onto ball of right foot, step onto ball of left
foot. With each step add a lower body undulation or “scoop” hips forward and back. As you step, turn yourself to face
other corner. Step forward onto your left flat foot and repeat movement. Then 2 Arabic 2’s to face the front.

Chest Circle Combo:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader turns to “3” arms overhead and presses down so arms are out in T

            Movement:
                    Slow horizontal chest circle for 4 counts as you lower flat back to ground
                    3 fast chest circles counterclockwise as hold position
                    Pivot with slow chest circle clockwise to face “1”
                    3 fast chest circles clockwise as you raise up and end facing front.


Hip Circle/UMI Combo:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader brings arms out to sides and does “floreo’s” (hand circles)
            
            Feet:
            1. Step out onto right, bring left foot in as you finish circle
            2. Step out to left, bring right foot in as you finish circle

            Movement:
            Big hip circle to right 1, 2, 3, 4
            4 fast umi’s to right 5, 6, 7, 8
            Big hip circle to left 1, 2, 3, 4
            4 fast umi’s to left 5, 6, 7, 8

Side to Side Circle Combo:
    Cue to begin:        
            Leader brings arms to pharonic poise

Feet:
            Step together step touch, RLRL to right: 1, 2, 3, 4
            Step together step touch, LRLR to left: 1, 2, 3, 4

            Movement:
            1 and 1/2 horizontal clockwise hip circles with right hip tuck on touch
            1 and 1/2 horizontal counterclockwise hip circles with left hip tuck on touch

    Cue to turn:
            Pharonic arms come palms down
            
            Movement:
Will complete hip circle with tuck on right and then instead of touch/tuck you will pick left foot up and turn to face “2”
Place left foot down and 1 1/2 hip counterclockwise circles to left, instead of tuck pick right foot up and turn to face “3”

Betty Boop:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader brings hands overhead with thumbs and first fingers touching, flat hands
    
            Movement:
1-Arabic 2 to front and 1-Arabic 2 to front left corner, bring hands right over left down in front of body
*Press right foot back 2xs, bending and straightening leg so hip goes up up
Bring back of hands to back of back and press right foot forward 2xs
Step out to side as you turn to face front right corner, step 1, step 2, step 3. As stepping, bring arms out to sides and
up overhead. On “8” bring right foot forward and left foot back (hop) as hands come down in front of you, left over right.
Press left foot back 2xs, bending and straightening leg so hip goes up up
Bring back of hands to back of back and press left foot forward 2 xs
Step out to side as you turn to face left front corner again, step 1, step 2, step 3. As stepping, bring arms out to sides
and overhead. On “8” bring left foot forward and right foot back (hop) as hands come down in front of you, right over
left.

Bring hands palms up “offering/raise the roof” as step turn in clockwise circle to face front, right hip lift step 5, rhls 6,
rhls 7, rhls 8

Grapevine:
Cue to begin:
Leader faces front left corner arms overhead, come down for 4 counts, when arms come to “T”, drop arms down and
up as you do 4 hip drops

Movement:
1. Cross right foot over left foot, 2. left foot steps out next to right, 3. right foot crosses behind left foot, 4. left foot steps
out next to right, 5. cross right foot over left foot, 6. left foot steps out next to right, 7. right foot crosses behind left foot,
8. lift left hip as you pivot to prepare to go to right, toe is pointed to floor.

1. Left foot is lifted, cross it over right foot, 2. right foot steps out, 3. left foot steps behind, 4. right foot steps out, 5. left
crosses over right, 6. right foot steps out, 7. left foot crosses behind, 8. right hip lifts as you pivot and prepare to go to
left, toe is pointed to floor.

1. Right foot crosses over left, 2. left foot steps out next to right, 3. right foot crosses behind left foot. PIVOT (turn
clockwise) to face back, 4. left foot crosses over right, 5. right foot steps out and next to left, 6. left foot crosses behind
right foot. PIVOT (turn COUNTERCLOCKWISE) to face front,  7. cross right foot over left foot, 8. left foot steps out and
extend leg with toe point out to left side.

1. Left foot crosses over right, 2. right foot steps out next to left, 3. left foot crosses behind right foot. PIVOT (turn
COUNTERCLOCKWISE) to face back, 4. right foot crosses over left, 5. left foot steps out and next to right, 6. right foot

out and extend leg with toe point out to right side.
            
            Arms:
Out in T, when turning bring hands in to chest, with toe point extend opposing arm out to side and extending leg/arm
bend and frame face with index finger.
Arabic 3 Combo:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader faces “3”; arms press down to lay down goal post

            1st Movement:
Arabic 3 (This is a 4 count movement)-1. Step onto flat right foot towards “3” scooping hips, 2. as you pull hips back
shift weight onto left foot on the ball, 3. right foot steps back to “2”, 4. snap hips back to “front” and step/shift weight
onto left.

1st Arms:
Right arm is extended “T”, left arm is bent at chest level, Hand floreo with 1 & 2
When you twist hips swing arms to left and back

2nd Movement:
5. Turn to face “2” as you step onto flat right foot, 6. left foot steps behind, 7. right foot steps out, 8. pick left foot up as
you turn clockwise to face back of room, put foot down to stop you.

2nd Arms:
Arms come down, out to sides and up overhead, press down into 1st arm position when you begin 1st movement.

Repeat 1st & 2nd Movement will end facing front

Arabic 3 Couple Combo:
    Cue to begin:
Leader faces “3” and press down to lay down goal post, then extends arms out; snake arms in place for 8 counts. Back
row walks forward with snake arms and lines up behind partner. Cross right foot over left and turn to left, back row
does full circle, front row does half circle to face partner.

Facing partner do Arabic 3 Combo
When walking, your backs will be back to back.
    When you turn to face wall, your right shoulders will come “in”


Arabic 3 Group Circle Combo
Cue to begin:
Leader faces “3” and press down to lay down goal post, then extends arms out and turns body to front; snake arms 8
counts as walk to form circle. Cross right foot over left and turn to left, back row does full circle, front row does half
circle to face partner.

Begin Arabic 3-1 & 4 will change positions as in partner combo. L, 2 and 3 will do one Arabic 2 with Egyptian arms in
place/in clockwise circle. Repeat and 2 & 3 will change places and L, 1, 4 will do one Arabic 2 in place with Egyptian
arms in clockwise circle, this time everyone will end facing front. (Audience)

Egyptian Arms:
Flat palms finger tips towards each other up through center and out to sides


Bell Combo:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader brings hands down to “bell”

    Movement:
            Paddle turn front (12 o’clock) and to back (6 o’clock)
                    Press hips out as step
            
            4-*Choo Choo’s to right with arm swoop (counter clockwise)
                    *Hip lift while scootching/dragging other leg

            Repeat Paddle Turn

            4 choo choo’s to left with arm swoop (clockwise)

            Repeat paddle turn end facing front

Egyptian Swing:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader brings hands over head with palms facing audience

    Movement:
            Basic Egyptian on (1, 2) right and (3, 4) left, turn and face back

    Arms:
            Press down and up to center on each Egyptian

    Movement:
            Big upper body clockwise chest circle with slow snake arm on right and left (5-8)

    Repeat to face front

Sassy Strut:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader faces left side with arms extended right over left

    Movement:
            1-2 Right foot comes back and does double hip bump
            3-4 Open arms as you lean back and double hip bump to front
            5-Close and come up and press back once (hip bump)
            6-Open and lean back with single hip bump to front
7-Come all the way up and over as you step back with your right foot (you are now bowing to the side)
8-Keeping this position, swing over to other side as you come up to standing.
    
    Repeat on other side with left foot, on 8 swing around to face front.

Indianesque:
    Cue to begin:
            Leader brings wrists together overhead (lotus)

            1,2, Lotus
3-4 bring right foot behind left in Indian pose, hands come to left hip. Hands are peacock/ok (right) on top of lotus (left)
5,6,7,8 Head slide to right as you bring left arm overhead palm up, right moves up to chest level
Give flower, take flower with right hand, peacock to lotus (head follows hands) Repeat
Step onto right foot you scoop around with right hand, left hand comes to chest in peacock, right hand travels through
center and up to sky as you straighten up to center, “cigarette” step to right for 4,5,6,7, on 8 bring peacock hands to
center
